Gambling Community Benefit Fund

The Gambling Community Benefit Fund invests in the community sector, supporting the capacity of community organisations and groups to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queenslanders in their local communities.

Unincorporated Organisations can apply for up to $5000 & Incorporated organisations can apply for up to $30,000. Grants of more than $30,000 are considered for more complex projects which have significant community benefit.


Funding may be provided for a variety of standard projects including equipment associated with the activities of the organisation:

·         sport and play equipment;

·         office equipment and furnishings; and

·         special one-off events and activities including: community arts and recreation events, conferences, and community education activities.

 

Community development and organisational development including:

·         access and equity projects;

·         research projects;

·         organisational review and redevelopment;

·         fundraising initiatives;

·         volunteer support;

·         motor vehicle purchase costs; and

·         minor capital works (except where the facilities are owned by an individual or private company), including part of or total contribution to: health, safety and access upgrades of community facilities and fit-out costs for community facilities.

 

If your project meets one or more of the following criteria it may be a complex project:

·         the project is a partnership between two or more organisations;

·         the project covers a wide geographical area;

·         the project will bring substantial benefit to a whole community; or

·         the project trials an innovative way to deliver service in the community.
