Small grants of less than $20,000 are available for research and developmental projects which monitor or trial innovative solutions to environmental problems. General applications can also be made for grants over $20,000. The Ian Potter Foundation supports projects that propose finding ways for Australian communities to live sustainably and to preserve biodiversity. Water resources and climate change are the major focus areas.
