Support is given to projects that
enhance or maintain the vitality and diversity of the Australian
natural living environment.
The application procedure below
applies for the Foundation Grants and the RE Ross Trust Small
Victorian Rural Grants. You can only apply for one or the other.
Before you consider applying, ask yourself about your project - is
its primary focus biodiversity preservation?
The objectives
of the Foundation are:
-
to build capacity in local
communities to effect long-term beneficial change in the natural
environment
-
to support and encourage research
into, and monitoring of, all aspects of Australia's natural
environment
-
to support education relating to
our natural environment
Wherever possible, funded projects
will:
-
be innovative and serve as a model
for future projects
-
show collaboration with other
groups, particularly community groups
-
result in long term improvement of
the natural environment
-
indicate clearly, and
thoughtfully, how advice of the project's outcomes will be
shared
The more closely your project is
aligned with the above principles, the more likely you are to be
considered. Individuals as well as organisations are invited to
apply.
